Oakley is such a sweet boy! He has been a lot of fun since entering the household. He plays well with the other dogs especially Koa. She is everyones best friend. They like to chase each other when each have a stick or toy the other one wants. It’s cute to watch.
This day was a beautiful a sunny spring day and we had to try and seize the moment with a nice walk at the park. We absolutely love Nathaniel Greene Park here in Springfield and use it quite often on the weekends. The dogs love being dotted on by the passer byes and eagerly frolic through the grass and river bank. It’s good to get your dogs out into public on a regular basis. Oakley soaked it up and is getting so good on a harness.
Oakley is a teenager and is actually going to be neutered next week. We will be looking for Oakley’s forever home but there will be some time that we would like to work with him. We would like for him to have some simple commands such as sit, stay, lay, off, and release before he goes into his forever home but that won’t take to long. He is a gorgeous boy and if anyone is thinking about adding a miniature golden retriever to their family this may be the perfect time.
