Here is a little bit of background information on our puppy training. Puppy training does not only have to be a training session. A lot of it is just seizing the moments that you can through the day. I explain that one of my favorite times to do it is first thing in the morning. That way I can get away with just using their regular kibble and also the importance of consistency.
Make sure your puppy is in the right frame of mind to do the work. I had tried earlier and Hudson was just too tired. We are doing some basic puppy training at this moment I had everything set up and ready to go to do some training and I turned around to find that no matter how much I was ready, he was not. He had his eyes closed and I realized that the moment had passed. Patience is important when training. Common mistakes that I still find myself doing is repeating the command. You should just say it once and wait. When they get the command Mark it with your Praise keyword. Those Can Be “yes” or “good” and then follow it with the command word they just accomplished. These guys are smart and have the capability of learning hundreds of words. For example, say “sit”, wait, then say “yes, good sit” when the command is completed.
We won’t be going anywhere today since it is a popsicle outside. So, I will be bring in the steps and start trying “up” and “down”.
